This disclaimer describes the operational scope, technical boundaries, and usage expectations of DownMigo. DownMigo provides a browser-based utility that extracts and formats public video links from supported platforms for personal offline viewing.

By accessing or using DownMigo, you acknowledge the parameters outlined on this page. This document should be reviewed together with our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, which establish the complete terms governing your use of the service.

2. Independent service and trademarks

DownMigo is an independent software utility. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, operated by, or sponsored by Meta Platforms, Inc., Facebook, Instagram, ByteDance Ltd., TikTok, Google LLC, YouTube, or any of their parent, subsidiary, or affiliate corporations.

All platform names, product names, registered trademarks, service marks, and logos referenced on this website are the property of their respective trademark holders. Their mention on DownMigo serves exclusively for nominative, descriptive identification of the public web links that the tool supports.

3. Content ownership and permitted use

All media content, including videos, audio recordings, still images, captions, and descriptions, remains the intellectual property and copyright of the respective creators, uploaders, or copyright owners. DownMigo does not claim copyright, ownership, or licensing privileges over any media processed through the application.

Users of DownMigo are responsible for ensuring that they own the media they submit or have obtained all necessary permissions, licenses, or authorizations from the copyright holder prior to downloading, saving, or distributing any content.

The fact that a video or Reel is publicly accessible on a social platform does not in itself grant legal authorization to download, store, republish, or commercialize that work. Furthermore, DownMigo makes no representation that all media downloading constitutes fair use. The applicability of fair use or statutory copyright exceptions depends on specific legal jurisdictions, individual factual circumstances, and the intended use of the material.

4. Availability, quality, and audio

The availability of download streams depends entirely on the status of the source post and the current technical policies of the hosting platform. If a post is deleted, marked private, restricted to followers, geoblocked, or removed by the platform, DownMigo cannot retrieve or process the media.

Available resolutions and format options reflect the actual source streams provided by the source platform at the time of extraction. In maintaining technical honesty:

  • We do not guarantee that high-definition (HD) quality will be available for every submitted link.
  • We do not upscale video files, synthesize missing detail, or promise artificial resolution increases.
  • We do not promise or attempt watermark removal on source media.
  • We do not generate or synthesize audio for videos where the original upload lacks sound or was muted due to rights restrictions.

When a post was uploaded without sound or muted at the source, DownMigo clearly indicates that the resulting file is video-only.

5. How downloads are delivered

DownMigo employs different delivery approaches depending on the technical structure of the source media:

  • Direct delivery: Where supported, download links direct your browser straight to the platform content delivery network so the file transfers directly to your device.
  • Streaming proxy: In situations where direct access is constrained, your request passes through our local gateway as a transient streaming proxy to deliver the standard MP4 file to your browser.
  • Temporary preparation: Certain high-quality YouTube videos store high-resolution video and audio as separate progressive tracks. To produce a standard, playable MP4 file, our servers temporarily prepare and combine the two streams.

Temporary files created during preparation are stored only for the brief duration required to complete the transfer and are automatically removed after a limited period. DownMigo does not host permanent media libraries, public archives, or persistent file repositories.
